Kellehers Australia at LAWASIA 2022

Kellehers is pleased to report that Dr Kelleher and Cameron Algie presented with elder and traditional owner, Mr Reg Dodd OAM, to the Environmental Law Stream on Sunday, 20 November 2022, on the topic of Raising Lawyers’ Environmental Consciousness.

Mr Dodd OAM presented a pre-recorded video, in which he touched upon the impacts of environmental damage and cultural heritage destruction on Arabunna country, and the legal challenges facing traditional owners. Mr Dodd emphasized that quality on-country education is vital to raising the environmental consciousness of key decision-makers and lawyers and extended an invitation to those present to visit Arabunna country.

Dr Kelleher was also invited by LAWASIA to Chair a panel of judges of the LAWASIA International Moot Competition run in conjunction with the 35th annual LAWASIA Conference.
