Surveying and the Law
·
Kellehers Australia’s recent work highlights the connections between the work of lawyers and surveyors. We value our links with the surveying profession, and our achievements show that these connections can be most useful to clients and fellow professionals.
In 2016, Dr Kelleher and Mr Rodney Aujard, Licensed Surveyor, pinpointed the location of the first Ballarat Gold Commissioner’s Camp. Kellehers created a booklet on the investigation, and articles were published in the Institute of Surveyors Victoria’s magazine Traverse and also in a recent edition of Sovereign Hill’s magazine Rush.
As previously reported, Dr Kelleher won the Ballarat Heritage Innovation Award 2016 for this work and Mr Aujard’s survey work became an Award finalist.
Dr Kelleher recently spoke at the 2017 Institute of Surveyors Conference on legal issues raised by Crown land, public acquisition and development: powerpoint slides: click here: full paper: click here.
